Freestyle Pools & Spas brings over 25 years of construction expertise to every project. Founded by Charleston native Scott Flanders, the company is built on a foundation of quality craftsmanship, technical knowledge, and Lowcountry values. From custom pools and spas to complete outdoor living environments, Freestyle Pools & Spas transforms backyards into beautiful, lasting retreats.
Scott’s experience spans multiple sectors of the construction industry — residential, commercial, industrial, medical, and multifamily. His leadership roles include owner of an award-winning plastering company and exterior building envelope restoration company, and former VP of one of the nation’s most trusted industrial coatings application companies. Scott established its roots here in the Charleston Metro Area. He developed lasting relationships with many national and local General Contractors. He also established and nurtured accounts with international manufacturers like Mercedes-Benz Vans, Volvo, Boeing, Cummings, and Thorne. Scott most recently managed the construction department at a well-established residential and commercial pool company. This broad experience allows Freestyle Pools & Spas to deliver precision, performance, and design excellence in every project.

Community and Family
Scott and his wife, Megan, live in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, with their two children who attend the College of Charleston. Scott is also a founding member of the Hooked on Miracles King Mackerel Tournament, an annual event that raises funds for the Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital at MUSC.
